➳ Credits | Activity ┈┈・

➳sponsor credit system ┈┈・ this section will cover our activity-based credit system here at The Games

    ➳claiming credits ┈┈・
Our credit system is designed to make sure that everyone is keeping active in-game and reward those who are more active. Each character MUST achieve a minimum of 200 credits EACH Game Cycle. You can use any combination of the below to meet activity, and the more you post the more credits you get. Characters/players may be placed on activity warning if they seem to be idling or inactive in the game. Activity warning may require additional credits to be earned in order to pass activity.

Activity Checks mark the end and beginning of a new Game Cycle and will generally take place a few weeks before the opening of each arena. You may only spend the credits that you have claimed in a previous Activity Check. Credits may be used to purchase in-game items or rewards such as sponsor gifts or saving characters from death!

Credits DO NOT roll over from Arena to Arena. If you earned 250 credits during your first Game Cycle, and you earned 305 in your second Game Cycle, you do NOT have 555 credits for your third. You will have 305. Use them or lose them!

    ➳earning credits ┈┈・
All players involved can and should claim threads for credit where they can.

MAKING A NEW POST || +15 Credits || A post made by you in [community profile] thegames, [community profile] thearena, [community profile] thecapitol, or [community profile] thelostdistrict that other characters may reply to.
NEW CR || +25 Credits || Tagging ANY character that you have never tagged before. Have you threaded with this character in-game before? No?! Then you get 25 credits your first time.
REPLYING TO A POST OR THREAD || +10 Credits || Replying to any in-game post or thread; for example mod post, event post, party post, opening arena post, network post, threadjacking, etc.
10+ COMMENT STRING || +5 Credits || A thread consisting of 10 or more comments between two characters - approximately 5 each.
20+ COMMENT STRING || +5 Credits || A thread consisting of 20 or more comments between two characters - approximately 10 each.
40+ COMMENT STRING || +5 Credits || A thread consisting of 40 or more comments between two characters - approximately 20 each.
60+ COMMENT STRING || +10 Credits || A thread consisting of 60 or more comments between two characters - approximately 30 each.
80+ COMMENT STRING || +10 Credits || A thread consisting of 80 or more comments between two characters - approximately 40 each.
100+ COMMENT STRING || +10 Credits || A thread consisting of 100 or more comments between two characters - approximately 50 each.
FINISHED THREAD || +20 Credits || A thread that comes to a close, ICly. Both/all parties receive the points but the thread must contain at least 3 comments of yours to earn the credits.
CUMULATIVE COMMENTS ON A POST || +5 Credits for every 20 comments up to 200 || This does not require threads to be finished, or to involve the post maker entirely. It is to reward people who make a post that creates activity. Only the post maker gets these points and it can be for an open or closed post or log. However, we do reserve the right to reject these point if the player is inactive or barely active within their own post.

**Please remember that credits may only be earned in-game. Comments and posts made in the [community profile] thegamesooc or [community profile] thecircus DO NOT count towards activity.

If you are looking for an easy way to track your credits, here is a sample spreadsheet incorporating the new standards. The second page of the sheet is for staffers. Feel free to copy the sheet and use it or find the method that works best for you.

    ➳new character credits ┈┈・
If your character has just been accepted, this means that they have not yet had the opportunity to respond to an activity check. All newly accepted characters will be given a default 200 credits to use within the arena of their first Game Cycle.

This is especially of note for characters who join during an active arena. You will only have 200 credits to spend until you report in for your first activity check.

Any character who was considered, in game canon, to be somewhere in Panem during the most recent arena will not be considered a new character, and must claim their earned credits. If you join in the two weeks before an AC check you are considered a new character and default to 200 credits.

    ➳spending credits ┈┈・Sponsor Items.
Each arena will have a list of sponsor items that you may purchase for yourself or another character at any time. Items purchased for yourself are generally assumed to be gifts from sponsors outside the arena.

Prices for these items increase exponentially each week, and will be available in every death roll post.

    Death Roll Buyouts.
Beginning with Arena 14 players will be allowed to buy out their own characters from death, but this will only be permitted twice per Arena.

After that, a character MAY NOT buy their way out of their own scheduled death roll. But they are, in fact, survivable. Characters and cast mates will have the option of buying their fellow cast mates out of certain death, each week. For a price. And that price will increase exponentially.

Think of it as being rescued. You may not rescue yourself from death, but someone else can. Multiple someones, even. As each arena progresses, prices get steeper and steeper. But don't worry, if thing start to get a little out of your price range, you'll be happy to know that we do allow players to pool their credits.

For an example of how this looks in-game, check out this death roll post to see how it works!

**This option will be available every week inside the arena EXCEPT when a winner is announced. No characters may be bought out of death during the finale UNLESS the named victor wishes to die in the place of another character.
